How we started

Waypost Village is a lifestyle brand site concieved to positively effect lives with the sale of each product on its site. It is founded on the idea that given the choice people would gravitate toward making a purchase that had a giving back aspect to it.

The experience had to be completely transparent. With each purchase it had to be clear what amount was being donated. It couldn't be a percentage calculated after certain costs were addressed. Exactly where donated funds were going had to be stated. In order to achieve these goals Waypost will donate 15 % of the proceeds of each purchase to its charity of choice, Water.org.

Water is a basic necessity that should be accessible to all people. It permeates every facet of life. Today, 1 in 9 people lack access to safe water and 1 in 3 people lack access to a toilet. More people have a mobile phone than a toilet. Without access to safe water these people are forced to consume the larger portion of each day to obtain water. Without access to safe water and sanitation people face a myriad of health problems. Access to safe water creates opportunity. Water.org has empowered more than 7 million people with access to safe water and sanitation.
